Are you looking to test your limits and find new motivation? Have you thought about tryin an adventure race? Do you need a new goal to break out of a training rut?
CAC will be offering members a new training program targeted at the new style of adventure races. These races, typically 3-7 miles in length, include obstacles (climbs, crawls, water/mud crosses, etc.) and challenge your limits while having a great time. We're planning a 10 week training program for the Merrell down and Dirty Mud Run (www.downanddirtymudrun.com) coming to Folsom lake on October 31st. We have chosen this event because it supports Operation Gratitude which sends care packages to US military personnel. We plan on training together so you have an on-course support system on race day. You can resister for this event or one of the others in the region this fall, bur our training program is set to prepare for this race.
Our program will feaure twice weekly workouts designed to propare you for the challenges you'll face on the run. Running, strength training, calisthenics and plyometric training will make up the lion's share of these sessions.
